I grew up in a household where Halloween was every bit as big of a deal as Christmas and I am so proud of my husband for exceeding my expectations when it came to our couple costumes this year!!

We went to our first as a commander and his handmaid – a pregnant one – I didn’t realize some beanies stuffed under my dress would be so convincing but even in person people were asking if I was expecting!!

Zac’s costume was easy because he just threw on a suit from his closet.

Second we were Edna Mode and Baby Jack Jack from the incredibles. Yes, nearly everyone is dressing up as the legendary family this year. But we wanted to take a bit of a twist on it. We say the Incredibles II twice in theaters – which is saying something for us because we normally only watch a movie once. And we both were extremely amused by Jack Jack and Edna – reenacting scenes from it like nerds over the next few weeks. Which is when it dawned on me that these HAD to be our costumes.

So I started searching for stuff and could NOT find an incredibles suit for an adult male that didn’t have the stuffed muscles in it. However one Chinese website advertised “gender neutral” options and guess who fell for it?! I did. So I ordered a medium – sorry babe!

Mine came together easy with Disney’s Edna Wig & Glasses and then a dress that I thought was actually somewhat fashionable instead of a costume. Of course black tights and little heels like the ones Edna is always wearing and wha-la darling our costumes were done.
