Viva Las Vegas
Got to spend a little extra time in the sun this past week. Zac, my mom & I headed down south to Las Vegas for a quick weekend at the Venetian.
I have a large assortment of memories from the strip, throughout my childhood my mom’s work territory included “sin city” so we found ways to have a lot of family fun in a place many parents avoid.
I love seeing cirque du soleil shows… when I was little they always did, and still, amaze me. The restaurants in Vegas are incredible, the different themed lobbies made me dream of living in a hotel one day, and finally I always enjoyed walking through all the high end stores.
This time our trip was short, simple and filled with everything I love. We pulled in around midnight on Friday and made our way down to the Casino – after a quick cat nap on Zac and I’s part. Then the next day we spent hours on a day bed and swimming at the pool. A day that Pooh Bear would be proud of us for doing nothing at all (I am obsessed with the preview for that show).
Then that night we went to Mystere- my favorite of all the shows on the Strip. Gambled a bit more, because you just can’t go to Vegas and not spend some time at the tables.
We finished our trip roaming the expansive shops and trying to guess the prices of ridiculously expensive items in stores.
What a great weekend with two of my people.
